A crispy snack to munch on during the big game
Yield: Makes 4 cups
4 | tablespoons | butter | |

3 | tablespoons | sugar | |
|
|||
1/4 | cup | Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 | |
|
|||
2 | tablespoons | hot pepper sauce, or to taste | |
|
|||
1 1/2 | teaspoons | salt | |
|
|||
1/2 | teaspoon | garlic powder | |
|
|||
4 | cups | (about 1 lb.) pecan halves | |
|
Preheat oven to 300 F.
Combine all ingredients except pecans in large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to blend. Boil 3 minutes. Stir in pecans and toss well to coat.
Spread nuts in a single layer in a jelly roll or roasting pan. Bake 45 to 60 minutes or until nuts are crisp, stirring occasionlly. Cool. Store in airtight container.
